My most recent work has been exploring the joy of decorating. I love to draw on clay. I love the looseness and spontaneity of it. I am happy to spend the afternoon and evening decorating pots.
Antique perfume bottles and vintage costume jewelry are my current muses. Antiques have always played some role in my work - through form, color, pattern or patina. The idea of the old holds a distinct fascination for me. Time creates a sense of validity for an object - gives it a story that a new object can only hope to acquire with decades of waiting.
